We have all struggled with designing when client asks for Vaastu incorporated designs and we can never say to it, like never.
Here are few points to keep in mind while designing as per Vaastu:
1- Kitchen to be in SE.
Kitchen should be located at SE Corner facing east while cooking. Hob placement to be in SE zone within kitchen and hob to be on E wall while sink should be in N/NE/E zone. Hob and sink should not be on the same wall.
2- Pooja room to be in NE or E.
Pooja room or the mandir should be placed at NE or E position of the house where person should be facing NE or E position while praying.
3- W.C. to be on either N or S wall.
Person should be facing either N or S while using the W.C.
4- Bed to be on S wall or second best E wall.
Person's head should be facing towards S wall or E wall while sleeping. Therefore the bedback should be at S wall or second best E wall.
5- Master bedroom to be in SW.
Master bedroom or the head of the house should be having his bedroom at SW, where bed should be placed at S wall.
6- Store room to be in S, SW, W or SE direction.
7- Staircase to be in S, SW or W direction.
Stair should be located at S,SW or W direction and the stairs should be moving clockwise with odd no. of steps.
8- Center to be left open (preferred place for double heights/ atrium/ open to sky/ courtyard) BRAHMASTHAN
BRAHMASTHAN or also known as center of the built-up area should be left open to sky.
9- Pool and waterbodies to be in NE, E or N direction
10- Underground water tank to be in NE, E or N direction and overhead water tanks to be in SW direction
11- Avoid bathroom in SW and NE.
12- Entrance preferred in N, NE and E.
Main door or the entrance of the house should be a N,NE or E direction which means a person should be facing N,NE or E when coming out of the house.
13- Safe to be placed at south wall facing north.
Safe or the locker should be located at the S wall facing towards N.
14- Mirrors to be placed at N,NE OR E.
Mirrors or any reflective objects should be placed at N,NE or E direction.
So these are the few tips that you need to keep in mind while designing for a client which has Vaastu his top priority.
